Local children organise a fund raiser

Two local school children Chloe Cheshire (aged 11) and Jack Cheshire aged (9) have decided to raise funds by walking 3000 steps between them every day over the next 3 weeks. This will be done in their garden and filmed by their mum, Michelle Bestwick.

The aim is for them to complete 63,000 steps in total, as a family they researched local charities and we are very greatful that they chose Doorways as their chosen charity.

At the moment we are providing food parcels every day to families in Derby who have been affected by the covid-19 crisis, these funds will help us a great deal so that we can continue to help vulnerable families who are struggling.

So far Chloe and Jack have raised an amazing £334 and they are only on day 4.

If you would like to donate to their fund raiser then please click on the link for the gofundme page.

Thankyou Chloe and Jack you are both an inspiration.

Hand cream for our Key Workers

We all know how amazing all our Key Workers are.

All the clapping and cheering in the streets every week proves how much we appreciate everything the NHS and all other important key workers are doing to get us through this covid-19 crisis.

We want to show each and everyone one of them how much we support them by trying to collect as many hand gels/creams and and hand sanitizer as we can.

If you can help by starting a collection between friends and family we would really appreciate your help.

Visit our face book group or page to find out where you can drop these off.

Many thanks
